Mi primer casteo de una figura (pequeñisima escala)

At last!, finally i make mi first official copy of something... well is just a piece of setters of catan that i was miss, is not a big deal, but it´s was a good way to try some things that i never tried before.
Basicaly i cover the piece with DAS, and i removed it before the clay dry, and then i put some hands cream on it and put some epoxy. The results where very good, but i lost part of the mold when i remove the copy. Any way it works so i think i gonna use this technicque some times in the future.

Al fin!, finalmente my primer copia oficial de algo... bueno, es solo una pieza de colones de catan que había perdido, no es la gran cosa, pero fue una buena manera de intentar algunas cosas que no intenté antes.
Básicamente cubrí la pieza con DAS, y lo removí antes que secara, y después puse un poco de crema de manos en ella y puse un poco de masilla epoxica. El resultado fue muy bueno, pero yo perdí parte del molde cuando removí la copia. De todos modos funcionó, así que creo que voy a usar esta técnica algunas veces en el futuro.

I´ll Upload new pic this Sunday! - Subiré nuevas imágenes este Domingo

Long time without any update isn´t? well, this don´t gonna be the case XD. Hola a todo el mundo,
Bastante tiempo sin subir nada verdad?, pues esta no va a ser la ocasión XD. Esto es solo para informar que estoy reuniendo todas las imágenes que fui tomando todos estos meses para subirlas el Domingo en diferentes post, dependiendo del tema. Así que, como pueden ver, no estoy muerto, solo ocupado (de hecho, estoy colocando este mensaje desde mi trabajo jejeje)

Comisión: Elfen Lied - Nyu

Esta es la última comisión que he recibido. Debo hacer una figura de Nyu de elfen lied de unos 25 cm de alto desde la base hasta la parte superior de la cabeza, basada en la figura existente que hay de ella.
Esta comisión tiene algunas cosas que las hacen especial. Es una figura enorme en comparación a todas las anteriores que he hecho y por lo que aun no se como trabajaran la masilla en cuanto a peso y resistencia (espero que bien).

This is the last commission that i received. It´s Nyu from the anime elfen lied and i need to make it in a scale of about 25 cm since the base to the top of the head, based from the existing figure that was made of her.
This commission is special. First of all it´s pretty big compared to the rest of my previous sculpts and i don´t no how the clay gonna react with the weight that the sculpt will have(i hope it´s gonna be alright).

Inicié la figura tomando proporciones de dos imágenes de la figura original, una de lado y una de frente. Comencé a armar la parte frontal del torso con ichas medidas y proporciones.

I start the figure taking proportions of two images of the original figure, one taken from the front and the other taken from one side. I make the front of the torso with that proportions.
















Ya producido buena parte del torso, noté que la figura es algo pesada.Preocupante considerando que este peso, sumado al de la cabeza, el pelo los brazos y el casco, debe ser sostenido solo por sus piernas y , al esta arrodillada, su centro de gravedad lo hace aun más preocupante.
Es por eso que una vez terminada, la corte en dos y la aguequé, cosa que funcionó excelente para disminuir el peso de la pieza.

When the main part of the torso was done, i notes that the figure turns pretty heavy.That´s a potential problem if we considering that the legs most keep the weight of the torso, plus arms, plus head, plus hair. So i cut the form and reduce the material inside, and i thinks it´s works pretty well.

Segunda Comisión: wip 10

En este post mostraré como hice el pelo de esta figura.
Comencé cortando una porción de la parte superior de la cabeza, permitiéndome crear una especie de casco, que me serviría de base para la mayor parte del cabello y las orejas de lobo.
Este casco también sirve para fijar el frente del cabello y mantener la cabeza en posición.

On this post i´ll show you some when i was making the hair.
I stated to make a cut on the top of the skull, allow me to do a sort of helmet how gonna work as a base for a good portion of the hair and the wolf ears. This helmet also work to fix the front of the hair, keeping the skull on position.




























En esta parte agregué una porción de masilla en el casco y después comencé a hacer los mechones de cabello sobre él.

On this part i add a portion of clay on the helmet, and then i´m started to make the locks of hair on it.
